Analysing Digital Profiles
For this analysis, I decided to use Create Britain for the examples, as this is a growing website for creative profiles. Create Britain has a multitude of profiles online, including photography, musical, and film production profiles.
My first analysis was of a photography profile on Create Britain, which is similar to what I am doing in media and film.
This profile on Create Britain looks very professional, but also modern- as the site is a modern, creative LinkedIn.The profile showcases Ella's work, including photos she has taken, which is followed by her creative disciplines circle, showcasing that she is more skilled in photography than anything else.
She then goes on in her profile to showcase each section of photography she does (portrait, landscape, etc) including examples of this type of photography. She includes text in her examples, to further showcase her talent and knowledge in the subject, which she does with every creative discipline she showcases on her profile. This profile is a good example of showcasing work, and I will take this into account when I create my own profile on this site.
This next profile is another prime example of the Create Britain profile, as it is very professional.
It includes a profile photo and links to social media for people to view.
It also includes a description of the graduate's experience and interests and also includes the creative discipline wheel, which showcases how skilled he is in each part of film, photography, etc.Like the previous profile, it also includes examples of his work, which are in the form of YouTube videos that he has uploaded.
With Create Britain, there is also the choice to just show how skilled you are in each discipline, rather than uploading proof. After this creative discipline section, all that is left on the profile is where the person is based, though it is a very vague location rather than an address- as this would be giving out personal information online, it is best to just give a vague location.
